Jesus Mail

These are words that I believe would be the kinds of things Jesus would be saying to us all by his Spirit. I do not mean to be presumptuous in doing this but I often get these thoughts in prayer and I have been prompted to write them down and pass them on. Below are a few examples.
FAITH FOR TODAY
I will give you faith to fill one day at a time. If you pour that faith into tomorrow or into next week or next year you can be emptying out what I have given you for today. I want this day to be full for you. I will make a gift of my faith to you for a day – each day – day after day. Then each day will build upon the faith of the one before. By all means plan wisely for the future and prepare for your tasks, but I will give my faith to you when it is needed – Just ask each day and believe. Stop everything and ask now – believe and receive and don’t be anxious,

Matthew 6:34 ‘Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes’ (Message Bible)
THESE FIVE THINGS
There are five things that you will find good to do at the start of each day. First, remember that I am still the same. I never change, even if yesterday everything around you changed. Second, remember that my love for you is an everlasting love, and the reason you exist is because I want to share my love with you today. Third, remember that I can do all things, and that nothing is impossible for me, who created you, and the Universe, just for you. Fourth, remember that I only want the best for you, and I will surprise you with my goodness. Fifth, tell me you will not worry or be anxious today, for there is no need for that – I will make life work out for you if you let me.

1. Hebrews 13:8 ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.’
2. Jeremiah 31:3 ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you to me.’
3. Luke 18:37 ‘There are things that are impossible for men, but with God nothing is impossible’
4. Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the thoughts I have towards you, thoughts of good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.’
4. Philippians 4:6 ‘Do not be anxious for anything, but talk to me about what your needs are, with hope and thanksgiving in your heart.’

A PURPOSE IN EVERYTHING

Woven into everything that happens to you, where you travel and where you settle, what you do and who you meet, there is a golden thread. That thread is the shining but hidden purpose in all there is concerning you and me. That thread is working to draw you closer to me, to put me in your mind and heart and reveal me to you. The Holy Spirit weaves that thread into the good and the bad things that happen to you. What you feel in those times of pressure you go through, is him tugging at you; that is him getting you to seek after me, and find me, even though I am closer to you than your thoughts. You belong with me, in our Father’s presence.

Acts 17:26 ‘From one man he made all people, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. 27. God did this so that people would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 28. `For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own writers have said, `We belong to him as his children' (CAV)

This world can be a dark and lonely place. But you have been taken out of the territory of darkness and brought into my territory with Father and Holy Spirit. Imagine standing alone at night on a cold and dark seashore, feeling lonely and afraid and confused. Then you look across at a warm campfire with three people standing around it. They are laughing as they warm themselves around the fire. One of them looks at you and smiles. He and his father wave you to come on over and join them, and the third one walks toward you and leads you back to the campfire. You feel their warmth and loving acceptance –And there is no fear or confusion. They ask you to stay, and you know you don’t want to go back out into the darkness again.

Colossians 1: 13 ‘He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.’
